Admission Procedure

Basic qualifications

Applicants should be unmarried women candidates who have passed Class X with not less than 50 percent marks in the overall aggregate. They should be between 17 to 25 years of age.

Mode of selection

The session commences in July every year. Final selections will be held in May/June after an entrance examination and interview at CPEH. The management decision regarding selection of candidates would be final, no appeals will be entertained. Preference will be given to applicants who have secured good marks in Science and English in Class X.

At the end of both the first and second semester supplementary examinations will be held for candidates who have failed. If candidates fail in the supplementary examinations too, their names will be struck off the rolls.


Boarding and lodging
Trainees will be provided free, shared bachelors’ accommodation in our campus hostels. Accommodation is also provided at the rural eye care centers during rotation periods.
Cafeteria services are available within the campus and at the rural eye care centers at subsidized rates.
